A Distributed system simulator allows developers and engineers to test and evaluate their systems without deploying them in a real-world environment, facilitating testing, development, and debugging^[2].

Distributed system simulators are used to test Distributed systems without risking data loss^[1]. They are also used to replicate conditions used for debugging.^[3]
