C. S. Reddi Chaithanya (born February 03, 1995) is an Indian entrepreneur, policy advisor, social reformer, and the founder of the Kurukshetra Foundation. Known for his work in energy policy, agriculture logistics, anti-drug activism, and youth sports promotion, Chaithanya has become a prominent figure in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He is also the Managing Director of Plutus and oversees ventures such as Arcanet and Bitternet.

Early life and education

C. S. Reddi Chaithanya was born in the Chittoor District of Andhra Pradesh to political leader Pushpa Varada, former District General Secretary of the Telugu Desam Party. He displayed leadership qualities from an early age, being elected Assistant School People Leader (ASPL) without opposition and actively engaging in business by age 14.

He completed his Bachelor's degree in Marketing and Business from JAIN University, Bangalore. He is fluent in Telugu, English, Hindi, and Kannada.

Career

Chaithanya’s entrepreneurial ventures span multiple sectors including fertilizers, seeds, logistics, energy, and manufacturing. He is the founder and CEO of Plutus, a diversified business enterprise involved in agriculture trading, technology, energy, and electronics. He also manages Arcanet and Bitternet, two technology-focused platforms generating consistent margins in the 25–30% range.

He is deeply involved in solar and energy contracts, regularly liaising with entities like APGENCO, KPCL, and central government bodies. Internationally, he conducts operations in Malaysia, Singapore, Germany, and Japan.

Licensing and Policy-Making

Chaithanya plays a significant role in energy policy and government licensing in Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka. He was instrumental in managing coal and power logistics, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, he arranged oxygen plant setups and essential supply chains from Sri Lanka and Dubai.

He has also influenced energy allocation policy between state and central governments, notably facilitating uninterrupted palm oil supplies from Malaysia to India during the global shortages of 2019–2020.

Philanthropy and Social Impact

In 2016, Chaithanya founded the Kurukshetra Foundation, an NGO dedicated to anti-drug awareness, self-employment training, women’s safety, sanitation, nutrition, and youth empowerment. During a crisis affecting tomato farmers, he facilitated exports to Kolkata and Bangladesh and helped establish processing units for tomato soup production.

He regularly donates food and clothing, promotes meditation, self-defense, and hygiene awareness, and is known for mobilizing youth for spiritual and community development.

Sports and Athletics

A gold medalist in running races, Chaithanya is a passionate advocate for children's sports. He raises funds and sponsors young athletes, especially in rural regions, and is currently spearheading the development of a multi-sport stadium and academy in Andhra Pradesh. The facility will cater to Olympic and non-Olympic disciplines under the international event banner Amaravati IndiAthlon.

Political involvement

Following in his mother’s footsteps, Chaithanya has been involved in politics with the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) since 2014. His areas of influence include agriculture, energy, licensing, and finance, where he supports party policy-making and governance at both state and central levels.

International operations

Chaithanya has expanded his business and policy networks globally. He manages partnerships and liaisons with trade officials and businesses across Southeast Asia and Europe, especially in the areas of energy, commodities, and advanced electronics.
