WhatamIdoing, thanks for making this page. I believe this section is the key point. First, someone will have to understand what "Property" is, although this could circumvent that by just saying "Click Property". Then the various dropdowns are also inscrutable to most. Perhaps "reference URL" can be promoted here as the default, and then bullet points given for what exactly to search and what exactly to click on for other types of sources? @Chipmunkdavis, I've added a table with some common options. Here at enwiki, the mw:citoid folks said that 98% of the sources were via URL (including, e.g., a URL for Google Books), so I think that option will cover most people, even if it's not always the ideal.
