Zheji Method
The Zheji Method is a proposed morphemic-syllabic reading technique for interpreting ancient inscriptions, most notably the Trojan script. It was developed by Albanian researcher Petro Zheji, who rooted the analysis in Balkan-Albanian semantics and phonosemantic theory.
This alternative reading suggests the inscription is to be read from right to left, and that each sign represents a phonosemantic syllable.
Interpretation of the Trojan Seal
Syllabic Breakdown: K – M – D – PŞ – Y – B
Morphemic Interpretation (in Albanian): Ka më dha psh-y-be
Translation: "There is a Mother who gives the breath/soul to the being."
This theory has attracted interest among alternative linguistics circles but remains controversial due to lack of consensus in mainstream epigraphy and linguistic archaeology.
