Also, I wonder if it would make sense to use just Web AS rather than WAS. Having both parenthetically inline is awkward to read. I actually use WebAS in my writing, but I'll keep my eyes open for what the standard seems to be in SAP's and other's documentation. Jebbo 10:40, 4 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I believe this article is partly outdated by now as WAS is renamed to SAP NetWeaver Application server. The reference to Java Platform, Standard Edition must also surely be inncorrect ? It should read J2EE instead. --Perwei 12:58, 12 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

References to actual dates and releases dates will be useful. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 62.57.220.237 (talk) 15:25, 27 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Please consider that this page is both misleading and outdated, and needs serious update. NetWeaver is no longer called 'Web AS'. And it surely is not restricted to Web applications, it is an application server. See SAP's page for details: [1] —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.187.45.18 (talk) 21:57, 5 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
