Add Perl to the list of "Influenced By", links to sources can be found in the talk section.

Reasoning:

It's not only very obvious that perl influenced methods in the Array, String and RegEx objects by name and semantic. The original source code of JavaScript is explicitly referencing Perl in the comments on numeral occasions.

Perl might be an unpopular language in 2025 but was very popular at the time of the creation of JS.

 Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Where you write "links to sources", do you mean the one link you included in the section you created just above? That's one person's blog, unfortunately, which doesn't qualify as a reliable source. Can you supplied at least one? Aside from that, I'm looking at where AWK, Self, and HyperTalk are listed and thinking that if they're truly a source they ought to be mentioned as such in the article's body, but they aren't. That doesn't remotely qualify as a reliable source, and using it would probably amount to original research, which isn't permitted; at best, it's a primary source. AWK's influence was stated by Eich as using the 8 letter word 'function' instead 'sub' like in Perl.
