Is eduroam an example?

[edit]

The definition sounds to me as if the eduroam system of University WiFi access is a good example of an AAI? When a researcher of one university visits elsewhere they can use the WiFi of the guest institution. Authentication is handled by the home institution. The technology behind that is protected EAP. I believe this even works worldwide.
