Packaging Digest is a trade publication and web site owned by Informa. It services the packaging information needs of manufacturing companies who produce consumer packaged goods and products for other markets, such as healthcare.

The executive editor is Lisa McTigue Pierce,[1] with the editorial offices located in Oak Brook, Illinois, US.[citation needed]

History

Established in 1963,[2] Packaging Digest is published quarterly, with articles about trends, as well as new technologies and practices.[1] As of June 2008, total BPA audited circulation is 90,045 subscribers.[citation needed] On July 16, 2014, Packaging Digest was awarded two Gold awards, and the Bronze and Silver award by the American Society of Business Publication Editors for its magazine covers. It was also awarded the Silver national award for its 2008 PACK EXPO Show Daily.[3]

Former owner Reed Business Information sold the magazine to Canon Communications in 2010. UBM plc purchased Canon Communications soon afterward.[citation needed]
