Swift Navigation is an American technology company headquartered in San Francisco, with additional offices and engineering teams located in Germany, Japan, Australia, South Korea, United Kingdom and Sweden to support its global customer base. The company specializes in high-precision Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) solutions and provides a software as a subscription service that enhances GPS accuracy for applications in autonomous vehicles, robotics, agriculture, geospatial mapping, and construction.

The Swift Navigation software product portfolio includes Skylark® Precise Positiong Service which comes in three variants: Nx RTK, Cx and Dx; and also Starling Positioning Engine. Up until 20XX Swift was a hardware company, with their lead product line being Piksi Multi GNSS receiver board which was discontinued in 2024[1]. They also produced the Duro ruggedized receiver whose production rights were bought by Cargenie Robotics in 2024[2].

Its software operates on any device with XXX gnss receiver / RTCM. Skylark has been used to. Skylark software uses advanced atmospheric modeling to improve GPS positioning.

History

Swift Navigation was founded in 2012 in San Francisco, California, by Fergus Noble, Colin Beighley, and Timothy Harris. The company initially gained attention for its low-cost, high-accuracy GNSS receivers aimed at replacing expensive traditional positioning systems. Over the years, Swift Navigation has refocused its product offering away fom hardware to prioritize on cloud-based GNSS correction services, catering to a global customer base in industries requiring precise location data.
