  • ChatGPT has more than 100 million users, making it the fastest-growing consumer application to date.[1]

  • May 30 – Hundreds of artificial intelligence experts and other notable figures sign the Statement on AI Risk: "Mitigating the risk of extinction from AI should be a global priority alongside other societal-scale risks such as pandemics and nuclear war."[3]
