Early life and education
Arvind Rajput was born on 23 August 1998 in Nangal Thathal, a village in the Hoshiarpur district of Punjab, India.[1] He was raised in a Kshatriya (Rajput) family, with his father, Thakur Sanjeev Kumar, and mother, Reva Rani.[2]
Rajput developed an interest in rap music and Punjabi folk storytelling during his teenage years. He was influenced by artists such as Bohemia, Sidhu Moosewala, Tupac Shakur, and Raftaar. He later decided to pursue a career in music and founded Big Gang Music.[3]
Career
2020–2023: Early Beginnings
Arvind Rajput started his career in 2020, releasing independent Punjabi rap songs through Big Gang Music. His music, known for its powerful lyrics and Rajput pride, quickly gained popularity among Punjabi youth.
2023–present: Rise to Fame
In 2023, he gained attention with his singles "Expert Rajput" and "Rajput," both of which became viral hits. His 2024 song, "Rebel Rajput," received praise for its raw lyricism and cultural influence.
In 2025, Rajput announced his debut studio album, Thakurwaad, focusing on Rajput heritage and Punjabi hip-hop.
