Why IMPP is obsolete?!?! Why by XMPP, not APEX, PRIM, SIMPLE or whatever? RFC 2778 and 2779 are NOT obsolete according to rfc-editor.org. -- Grossmann 10:04, 2 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

IMPP was not a protocol, but a set of requirements which should be met by a Internet Standard Protocol. These were then implemented in the XMPP related standards. Paladyn-john (talk) 08:23, 29 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
