Che with hook (,
, sometimes Ч̡ ч̡, italics: Ч̡ ч̡) is an allograph of the letter che with descender (Ҷ, ҷ) in the Cyrillic script. It represents a voiced or voiceless postalveolar affricate.
Usage
It has been used for the Surgut dialect of Eastern Khanty and the Tofa language.
Computing codes
It has no Unicode encodement. Uppercase may be encoded as U+1C8B and Lowercase as U+1C8C. As of 2024, it is available in the font Nishiki-Teki in Private use area, U+F3E5 for Uppercase and U+F3E6 for lowercase. It can sometimes be encountered as ч with combining palatal hook, as Ч̡ for uppercase and ч̡ for lowercase.
