CatOS is a Chinese, Arch Linux-based, Linux distribution. CatOS began as a distribution that was meant to work out-of-the-box and be friendly to Chinese users. It does this by using tools such as Fcitx. It also incorporates Linux Boxes by default, which emulate certain distributions, such as Alpine Linux, Arch Linux, CentOS, ClearOS, Debian, Deepin, Fedora Linux, Gentoo Linux, OpenSUSE, RHEL, Rocky Linux, Ubuntu, and Void Linux. It also uses the Calamares installer for out-of-the-box usage. It also has the Arch Linux, Arch Linux CN, Arch Linux For Education, and its own repository. It also has a software installer which can be used to install Chinese native applications, like WeChat, and QQ. It supports all things Arch Linux can do, with no delay. It supports many languages, but mostly, Chinese, and English. It is licensed freely under the GNU GPL 3.0, and has official accounts on Xiaohongshu.
