deterministic

[edit]

In V.I. Arnold's book on ODE's he defines deterministic to mean all future AND PAST states are determined by the present state. The former w/o the latter is semideterministic, I believe. MotherFunctor 03:12, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article Needs Real References

[edit]

This article needs real references, particularly to define an important concept to most of science and mathematics. The current references used are "garage band" quality. Scholarpedia? The Internet Encyclopedia of Science? Please be serious. Stevenmitchell (talk) 05:06, 9 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

absolutely. I just added a indexing template calling for further sources. Aaron Schaal (talk) 23:30, 9 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
