Not done: I assume you are referring to the sentence "[...] most Android devices ship with a substantial amount of proprietary software, such as Google Mobile Services, which includes applications such as Google Play Store, Google Search, and Google Play Services – a software layer that provides APIs for the integration with Google-provided services [...]". Hi, I removed the entire paragraph about simulating a traffic jam in Google maps, as Google maps runs on iPhones too, it is not an Android issue. And it is already mentioned in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Google_Maps#Criticism_and_controversies 12think (talk) 07:19, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Update lead paragraph
I would like to update the lead paragraph to better reflect its everyday use. Android is developed as an operating system that targets laptop and desktop form factors as well as mobile, Android supports multi-window, multi-display, multi-instance, and picture-in-picture, Keyboards, mice, & trackpads, billions of bluetooth devices, ARM and x86 architectures, full free form windows and resizing. It is shipped and used in 10s of millions of Chromebooks. So it has not been solely a Mobile operating system for many years, it is an Operating system, iOS and iPadOS are solely Mobile operating systems. The articles Mobile operating system and Operating system will need to be updated soonish too.--12think (talk) 08:13, 16 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lack of software support for a decade
