Protective security unit

A protective security unit typically provides policing, security, intelligence and bodyguard services for sovereigns and politicians.

The Hong Kong Police Force (HKPF)'s VIP Protection Unit is responsible for providing protection high-rank government officials, security domestic VIP or foreign VIP visiting Hong Kong, and support crowd control.

The Tokyo Metropolitan Police Department (TMPD)'s Security Police is responsible for protecting domestic and foreign dignitaries on Japanese soil and abroad.

The Republic of Ireland's national police and security service is the Garda Síochána.[1]

The Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF)'s Gurkha Reserve Unit (GRU) is responsible for protecting Royal Brunei Darussalam Family and security domestic VIP or foreign VIP visiting Brunei Darussalam.

The Royal Thai Police Special Branch Bureau (SBB) is responsible for providing security domestic VIP and from foreign nations.

The Singapore Police Force's Police Security Command is responsible for protecting Cabinet ministers and dignitaries from foreign nations.[2]

The United Kingdom Metropolitan Police Service (MPS)'s Protection Command is responsible for close protection to high-ranking government officials, protecting government ministers who are at high-risk of being attacked or assassinated, and providing security to the British royal family.
