Is JavaPOS Not Implemented For Microsoft Window?

I believe that even Windows doesn't have a USB or serial implementation for use from Java.

Doesn't JavaPOS rely on the underlying USB and serial packages for Java POS to work?

Does JavaPOS only exist for IBM, NCR cash-registers and for computers running Linux?

Is JavaPOS Not Implemented For Apple Macintosh Either?

For example, I understand that Apple participted in the design of the API for USB, and voted for it, but didn't implement it.

See: http://www.jcp.org/en/jsr/detail?id=80

I understand that the Mac version of Java doesn't have an implementation of javax.usb. In fact, I don't believe one is available anywhere.

I understand that Apple doesn't have JComm package either, but that there is a third-party developer that does have a serial package.
