Within geographic information systems, Place syntax is a term in spatial analysis. There is potential in combining geographically oriented accessibility research and geometrically oriented research in architecture, such as space syntax, as stated by for example, Ståhle et al.[1]
"The malleable physical form is open to new thinking and redesigning to address emergent issues. The typical or genotypic design syntax of contemporary greenways comprises of shape, form, material, and texture" | A.Sharma. Urban greenways: Operationalizing design syntax
