ADAM STADNICKI

Adam Stadnicki (b.1986) is a classically trained cellist from the Royal Danish Conservatory of Music in Copenhagen, the Conservatoire Nationale Superieur de Musique et det Danse de Paris and the Manhattan School of Music in New York. As a member of the leading contemporary music ensemble ATHELAS sinfonietta Copenhagen for more than 10 years and a former member and co-founder of the Copenhagen Piano Quartet, he has won several international music competitions, e.g. International Johannes Brahms competition and National Danish P2's chamber music competition amongst others. Together with the quartet, he has published all the piano quartets by Friedrich Kuhlau on the music label DACAPO.

Alongside a career as a professional musician, Adam has furthered his education in management at CPH-business academy and Oxford University.

Adam has held several leading positions in some of the leading symphonic ensembles in Denmark and Sweden. From 2015-2018 as orchestra manager of the National Danish Symphony Orchestra in 2018-2022 as deputy director of the Royal Danish Orchestra, in 2022-23 as General Manager of the Malmö Symphony Orchestra and from September 2023 - currently as Artistic Director & CEO of the Danish National Philharmonic Orchestra.

Adam has also been appointed a member of the Danish Arts council from 2020-24 by the minister of culture.

He is currently a board member of APPLAUS and the Alsion concert hall foundation.
