National Energy System Operator

The National Energy System Operator (NESO, styled as Neso) will be the new nationalized energy system operator for the United Kingdom. Once transferred from its current owner National Grid plc, it will operate both the electricity and gas distribution systems from 1 October 2024.[1] The buyout was announced in September 2024, and is valued at £630m.[2]
