Ellie Pavlick is an American computer scientist known for her contributions to natural language processing and neural network interpretability.

Pavlick works at Brown University, where she is Briger Family Distinguished Associate Professor of Computer Science, and Associate Chair of Computer Science.


Early life and education

Pavlick received her B.A. (in economics) and B.Mus (in Saxophone) from Johns Hopkins University in 2012. She received her Ph.D. from the University of Pennsylviania in 2017[2] .

Career and research

Pavlick is known for her research into the computational linguistics and the science of neural networks.
