Overpass API
What is Overpass[1]?
Overpass (Overpass turbo[2]) is a web based data mining tool for OpenStreetMap.[3]
It runs any kind of Overpass API query and shows the results on an interactive map. Beginners may find the wizard a good place to start exploring the platform, as using it can sometimes get technical quite quickly.[4] [5]
API is an acronym for Application Programming Interface. APIs are mechanisms that enable two software components to communicate with each other using a set of definitions and protocols.[7]
