JOBSwithDOD was founded in April, 2022 by American entrepreneurs and venture capitalists Anthony Niles and John Melnicki. Having collaborated on previous business ventures in the defense tech sector, Niles and Melnicki saw the need to improve and expand talent acquisition within the Department of Defense as well as across the broader defense industry.[1] With no alternatives available for those seeking to grow their career search within defense, JOBSwithDOD was launched as the resource to the industry in 2022 opening up the career market inclusive of job seekers without security clearances such as those from outside industries.[1] While most of JOBSwithDOD's registered job seekers come within the defense industry and the military industrial complex, many come from from traditional technology, engineering, telecommunications, and allied tech industries.
