A modem script is a settings file that some software programs use to communicate with your modem. They are also known as CCL files (Connection Control Language files). Like a modem init string, modem scripts files provide modem configuration settings. Modem scripts go beyond init strings by providing an internal scripting language that script authors can use to tune the modem's response.
