Intro

[edit]

Artificial Intelligence, also known as the capability of machines to execute tasks either at or surpassing human capabilities, has gone from a conceptual wonder to a practical reality that is used in our everyday lives. With its applications ranging from advanced search engines, recommendation systems, and self driving cars as well as voice recognition platforms like Siri and Alexa, and novel generative tools such as ChatGPT and AI-generated art. Although artificial intelligence has helped humans with the integration of “smart” systems into communities, utilities, vehicles, and farms promises efficiency and potential, there are concerns about the potential erosion of human autonomy.
