Redemption Value refers to the value that is placed on a party's head after they wrong you in some way. It is seen as the payment you are willing to make to get justice.

California Redemption Value is the money which a beverage producer is required to pay to the state for each can or bottle which leaves a factory. This can be reclaimed by the producer when they recycle an empty can.
