The Centre for High Performance Computing (CHPC) is responsible for operating and deploying high performance scientific computational resources. The CPHC, in 2016, joined the petaflop club when the CSIR unveiled the fastest computer in Africa [1]. Called Lengau, which is a Setswana word for Cheetah[2]. These computing resources are a key player in South Africa for academic and industry research[3]. The CHPC is part of the | National Integrated Cyberinfrastructure System(NCIS), and is supported by the South AfricanDepartment_of_Science_and_Innovation Department of Science and Innovation (DSI)
