A cellular map is a continuous function $f:X\to Y$ for two cellular spaces X and Y, such that $f(X^{n})\subset Y^{n}$ for all $n\in Z$ .

The Cellular approximation theorem states that all continuous maps between CW-complexes are homotopic to a cellular map.
