General form

I've seen the Rosenbrock function be written in the form . Would it perhaps be better to introduce it in this more general form in this article, then say that usually a = 1 and b = 100? Thanks, A Thousand Doors (talk | contribs) 07:35, 14 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]
