Physics Forums is a Question and answer Internet forum that allows users to ask, answer and comment on grade-school through graduate-level science questions. In addition, Physics Forums hosts the Insights Blog[1] which is a Collaborative blog sourced from verified experts on the community.

Physics Forums hosts discussions on science and math topics ranging from Classical physics to Quantum mechanics and Precalculus to Topology.

Physics Forums was started as a school project in the spring of 2001 by Greg Bernhardt[2] nearing the end of his senior year of high school.

In 2004 Physics Forums hosted the official forums for physicist Michio Kaku.[citation needed]

In 2005 Physics Forums entered content partnerships with Scientific American magazine Phys.org, Educator.com and Piled Higher and Deeper.[citation needed]

In 2010 Physics Forums won the “People’s Choice” award for best online physics community by physics.org.[3]

In 2022 Physics Forums acquired mathhelpboards.org and merged the community in Physics Forums.[citation needed]
