lorna doone

Barry Laurence Gardner also wrote as Barry Gardner and was involved quite extensively as a member of the Anglo American Lorna Doone Society, along with Whitman Pearson of the US, in Dulverton UK and authored the books Who was Lorna Doone? 1989 Brendon Arts Limited and Lorna Doone's Exmoor 1990. Reference: Lorna's Author: A Statue and a Stone by David Blackmore, Blackmore books, Coniston, Chester, CHZ2HJ. It is notable that Gardner's Bloodlines of the Holy Grail is dedicated to Whitman Pearson (USA) who helped raise funds for the Lorna Doone statue in Dulverton UK.
