The cobalt product line was killed by Sun in Cobalts glory days because they competed and won against a Sun product. Sun wanted to acquire Cobalt for the customer base and try to migrate the customers to the Sun products. I personally do not think this was worth 2 billion dollars but sun did, and the was a well know fact inside of Cobalt, (at least the contacts we delt with over the phone) Unfort. There is no record of this that I can find, it was only from friends of mine that worked for Cobalt who called to tell me what was happening to thier company.
