Hallway usability system

  • Problem: We don't know how users react to features and processes
  • Proposed solution: Find/create some free screen capture software (I'm guessing in-browser is impossible) and allow Wikimedia login. Then the WMF could hold a usability session with a particular user
  • Who would benefit: Developers, new users
  • Category:New contributors
  • More comments:An example would be image upload. Set the task of finding a free image on Flickr, uploading it to Commons, tagging it and adding it to a Wikipedia article. See where the struggles and bottlenecks are. Interesting article. See #12 here. I am sure the WMF foundation is working on this, links would be appreciated
