It appears that the periodic sinc function is also referred to as 'the' Dirichlet Function. (for example https://docs.scipy.org/doc/scipy/reference/generated/scipy.special.diric.html) 2600:1700:1EA0:53F0:1163:4E67:C423:E88D (talk) 15:10, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The reference given to his 1829 paper seems to me incorrect. I think that's the paper where he shows that the Fourier expansion converges (at any point where the function is continuous or has a jump discontinuity). I didn't see anything similar to the Dirichlet function. I'll remove this reference unless there's some objection. 83.228.130.196 (talk) 15:30, 4 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
