Inaccurate statement about stance towards capitalism by pre-Godesberg revisionist Marxist policies

[edit]

Bernsteinian revisionist Marxists who founded the contemporary reformist social democracy were never ideologically "hostile" to capitalism as the one sentence says, because they adhered to the Marxist analysis that socialism would arise as a result of the evolution of capitalism. The claim that the Godsberg changes "abandoned" pre-existing class conflict ideas of the then revisionist Marxist SPD is also false, Bernsteinian revisionist Marxists rejected classical Marxist advocacy of class conflict, Bernstein promoted a socialist movement sought to resolve class disparities through a commitment to humanism, not class allegiance.--R-41 (talk) 02:19, 8 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
