At one point, this page redirected to "Metric (mathematics)".

The problem is that "Topological_skeleton" contains a link to "Distance function", where it is using the "Function representation" meaning of distance function, and not the "Metric space" meaning. So, I created this page to describe both meanings, and link to the relevant article in each case. There's no need for any additional text or references, since the "Metric (mathematics)" and "Function representation" pages contain (or should contain) the rest of the information. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 209.183.136.7 (talk) 18:13, 23 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
