information provided by wikipedia is not correct, look at : http://orafaq.com/faq/what_are_the_difference_between_ddl_dml_and_dcl_commands i.e. update cannot be dcl command, because whole idea of atomicity would be wrong then

I don't think the article is suggesting that UPDATE is a DCL command, rather the DCL commands GRANT and REVOKE, decides whether the user can use such commands as UPDATE and others.~~kenmacleod~~[1] — Preceding unsigned comment added by KenMacleod2013 (talkcontribs) 10:28, 15 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
