The CoffeeCup HTML Editor is the flagship product of CoffeeCup Software. The HTML Editor was originally created by Kevin Jurica and Nicholas Longo for personal use, and was first released to the public in August of 1996. After popularity of the program grew Mr. Longo and Mr. Jurica decided to form a company around it.

The CoffeeCup HTML Editor was the first HTML Editing software to include JavaScripts inside the program (version 3.5 Sep. 1996), the first to feature 'split-screen' editing (version 4.0, March 1997), built-in FTP upload (version 5.2, Feburary 1998), and many other features that have become common in web design software today.

Currently the CoffeeCup HTML Editor is at version 2007.
