LearningRx is a franchise based in Colorado Springs, Colorado. LearningRx provides customized on-on-one brain training that can help improve the core cognitive skills needed for learning and thinking. These cognitive skills are attention, memory, logic and reasoning, auditory processing, visual processing, and processing speed. 35 years of research allows LearningRx to help clients with reading struggles and dyslexia, attention struggles and ADHD, memory decline, learning disabilities, and more.

Background and history

LearningRx began franchising in 2003, after years of successfully training professionals and parents using the PACE (Processing And Cognitive Enhancement) program created by Dr. Ken Gibson. Hundreds of psychologists and professionals around the United States and Canada were licensed to provide one-on-one brain training with the PACE license, but these individuals were not given any business support. Dr. Gibson opened a PACE Learning Center and, with his business savvy and strong marketing focus, was able to help more individuals in the first 3 months of his center than any individual PACE providers had helped in a full year. This led him to investigate the best ways to license his program while also offering business and marketing support. After a year of education and certifications, LearningRx began franchising across the United States.

Benefits of Franchising

The benefits of franchising with LearningRx are many: not only do you get all the training and proprietary materials you need to work one-on-one with children and adults, but you also get customized support for your business. Our dedicated support team works with franchisees during the first year (and beyond) to help launch new centers, monitor and adjust key metrics, and improve consultation and sales skills, regardless of the franchisee’s prior career background. New franchisees are able to hit the ground running with a detailed operations manual, thorough training focusing on the LearningRx programs, business, operations, and marketing, regular check-ins to assess business performance, and a highly responsive Helpdesk team. In addition to the award-winning LearningRx support team, new franchisees join a supportive, active, engaging franchisee network that collaborates to find business systems and sales techniques that work. New franchisees can be in business for themselves, but never by themselves. With the experience and expertise of the franchise system, our franchisees can use marketing collateral, design ideas, elevator pitches, consultation techniques, and training methods that have been honed over 20+ years.

Successful Franchisees

Twenty of our LearningRx centers have been open for 10 years or more; the LearningRx center in San Antonio Northeast, Texas has been open since July 2006. Many of our first franchise locations were former PACE providers with a professional background in psychology or a related field. However, experience has shown that our most successful franchisees have a combination of sales savvy, a personal experience with LearningRx, marketing mindset, and strong leadership and delegation skills. LearningRx franchisees who work ON the business—networking, marketing, seeking strong referrals, creating center culture, and hiring the right people for the right roles—rather than IN the business, tend to see greater success than those who focus primarily on administrative or operational tasks.

Resale Potential

A number of LearningRx centers have had more than one owner. Thriving LearningRx centers with a strong client base and brand presence in a community are a great investment for resale buyers. Because of our unique business proposition, there is very little competition for LearningRx centers throughout the US. Buyers interested in a resale are able to hit the ground running with an existing location and product base, fewer startup costs, a fully trained staff, and strong income potential from the beginning.

A One-of-a-Kind Business Opportunity

LearningRx presents a truly unique business opportunity. There is no other franchise in the world offering one-on-one brain training to both children and adults. LearningRx franchisees help their clients to learn easier, think faster, and perform better in work, school, and life. The results of one-on-one brain training are unmatched, and the programs are backed by 35+ years of scientific research and 20 published, peer-reviewed articles. As an award-winning franchise, we boast multiple awards, including ranking in the Franchise Top 50 from Franchise Business Review in 2017, 2018, 2020, 2021, and 2023. This award is especially meaningful because it is based on our franchisee satisfaction related to franchise training and support, innovative use of technology, and our active and supportive franchise community. The LearningRx franchise opportunity offers a low-cost entry point, with the initial investment well below many other child-based franchises (the estimated initial investment is about $225,000). Finally, because of our incredible results and the ability of our franchisees and center directors to understand, manage, and meet client expectations, LearningRx clients are very satisfied with their experience. On average, LearningRx graduates rate us as a 9.6 out of 10 on how likely they would be to refer their friends and family to their center. We survey 95% of our clients across the US. These happy clients do, in fact, refer their friends and family and those prospects often become clients.
