I’m a text mode artist and narrative designer, interested in improving the information architecture and formatting of Unicode pages.

Potential Summer Projects

- Try to link to more detailed pathways in the encyclopedia about the critical and cultural impact of symbols - Improvements to consistency, structure and - Discussion of the cultural impact of the Sharp computers and how they ended up in the standard, the conclusion/wrap up of the symbols for legacy computing work (argument around why they consider this a finite work, and believe they have encoded an appropriate majority of relevant legacy symbols that ended up on keyboards and file interchange formats in the 70s and 80s) - Look for primary sources in media and academic publishing around Unicode, text mode art, the work of the consortium, how codepoints are used, corporate private use area case studies - Find any possible documentation of links to 1990s and early 2000s graphic design aesthetics - Assess whether there is any Y2K aesthetic bullshit on here that is misaggregating history and propose cleanups
