Smart or STPL (Smart Telecom Private limited) was a private mobile network service provider of Nepal.[1][2] The company was established on 1 July 2008. It has been extending its network with an aim of having coverage of the entire of Nepal. On 28 October 2017 the company launched its 4G services in Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur and Pokhara, and is planning to launch 4G in other parts of Nepal soon.Cite error: A <ref> tag is missing the closing </ref> (see the help page).

After failing to pay permit and service operation dues, the government has taken control of Smart Telecom Private Limited (STPL).[3]
