GMY is a large lighting component manufacturer -- in 2010-11 the largest producer worldwide of halogen bulbs. It has evolved into developing and producing UV lights for numerous purposes. It has an interesting origin story, has won numerous awards, and has pushed the boundaries of lighting applications for medical and manufacturing purposes.

My potential conflict of interest

I met one of GMY's product manager during his visit to the Meher Center in Myrtle Beach. We worked together translating songs and discourses into Chinese. At some point, he asked me for help in creating translations of GMY marketing materials in American-style English. I was paid for that work. I have also done paid consulting for GMY on website design and language. I have not been paid to create this page. I just think it's an interesting company.
