"Hamlet and His Problems" is an essay by T.S. Eliot published in 1922 in his book The Sacred Wood: Essays on Poetry and Criticism. It is a short essay, of around 2,000 words, but proved influential for its introduction to literary criticism of the concept of the objective correlative. It is also noted for its bold description of Hamlet as "an artistic failure".
