EVgo is an electric vehicle DC fast charging station network in the United States, with more than 850 charging locations as of August 2022.[3][4][2] The company's charge stations are located in 34 states and are compatible with all major auto manufacturers.[5][6] In July 2021, EVgo acquired Recargo, the California company behind the popular PlugShare EV charger locator, for $25M.[7][8][9] In June 2022, the company announced a partnership with General Motors to expand compatibility and access for GM vehicles.[10] In January 2023, at the annual CES tech trade show, EVgo announced a partnership with online retail giant Amazon to allow drivers with Alexa-equipped cars to locate, schedule and pay for charging using Alexa, with a planned roll-out later in 2023.[11][12][13]

History

EVgo originally started in 2010 as a clean energy push for regulatory compliance at NRG Energy. By 2016, EVgo was sold to investment group Vision Ridge Partners, and then again, starting in 2019, to LS Power.[14][15]

EVGO has over 850 "fast chargers", partners with several large gas station/rest stops like Flying J, and partners with GM..see all their yearly financial reports and https://www.evgo.com/press-release/. **** Note-EVGO has over 3100 charging stall/stations in USA, and 850 are "fast" stalls/chargers. They have recently also joined with FORD and GM to use the same plug in as TESLA via 240 volt NEMA 14-50 outlet adapters and will have all new stalls have 240 volt NEMA 14-50 outlet, as an option on all future fast chargers. So EVGO chargers can be used with all EV to date-including TESLA-FORD and GM..as well as ALL other EV makers
