Wikipedia:Requested moves/Technical requests
Appearance
If you are unable to complete a move for technical reasons, you can request technical help below. This is the correct method if you tried to move a page, but you got an error message saying something like "You do not have permission to move this page, for the following reasons:..." or "The/This page could not be moved, for the following reason:..."
- Please make sure you really need technical assistance before making a request here. In particular, if the target page is a redirect back to the source page that has only one revision, you can usually move the page normally.
- To list a technical request: Uncontroversial technical requests subsection and insert the following code at the bottom of the list, filling in pages and reason:
This will automatically insert a bullet and include your signature. Please do not edit the article's talk page.
{{subst:RMassist|current page title|new title|reason=edit summary for the move}}
the - If you object to a proposal listed in the uncontroversial technical requests section, please move the request to the Contested technical requests section, append a note on the request elaborating on why, and sign with ~~~~. Consider pinging the requester to let them know about the objection.
- If your technical request is contested, or if a contested request is left untouched without reply, create a requested move on the article talk and remove the request from the section here. The fastest and easiest way is to click the "discuss" button at the request, save the talk page, and remove the entry on this page.

- Draft:Crunchyroll, LLC (currently a redirect to Crunchyroll, LLC) → Crunchyroll LLC (currently a redirect instead to Crunchyroll, LLC) (move · discuss) – There has been extensive, conclusive discussion on talk:Funimation to split the page between the streaming service, which should remain at Funimation and have the content now at Draft:Funimation, and the company, which should be at Crunchyroll LLC. For this purpose the draft should be moved to Crunchyroll LLC overriding the previous redirect. Then I would replace the content at Funimation with that currently at Draft:Funimation, declaring it like a merge for attribution purposes. I think this to be preferable to a round-robin move, where Funimation is first moved to Crunchyroll LLC, suppressing a redirect, and then Draft:Funimation is moved to Funimation and finally the content of Draft:Crunchyroll, LLC would have to be "merged" into Crunchyroll LLC anyway. - It doesn't appear to have been, but I'm fairly sure the moving editor has policy on their side, per MOS:AT. I will mention that the proposing editor has already reverted the first page in this list over the redirect. EggRoll97 (talk) 23:00, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- 'Final' vs 'final' was discussed for other competitions, can't recall exactly where the discussion was held at the moment, but if I recall the close correctly, the consensus was to downcase it. – robertsky (talk) 06:35, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Found the discussion: Talk:1930_FIFA_World_Cup_final#Requested_move_12_December_2022. – robertsky (talk) 06:47, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- @GoodDay, also can't you move these yourself? Many, if not all of these redirects should be easily overwritten by you when making the moves. – robertsky (talk) 10:43, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Wasn't sure if I was able to. But, I'll give it a go. GoodDay (talk) 12:56, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

- I've undone all the page moves-in-question & so I reckon this Tech request can be closed. PS - Any editor who believes that 'lower-casing' is the correct title, certainly may begin an RM for all the pages-in-question. GoodDay (talk) 13:24, 27 May 2023 (UTC)

- Faery Tale Adventure II: Halls of the Dead → Halls of the Dead: Faery Tale Adventure II (currently a redirect back to Faery Tale Adventure II: Halls of the Dead) (move · discuss) – to better match the name of the game, according to its cover and media info e.g. https://www.mobygames.com/game/3414/halls-of-the-dead-faery-tale-adventure-ii/cover/group-2294/cover-823472/ C xong (talk) 02:11, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- @C xong: but the text of the article shows that this is a sequel of Faery Tale Adventure game, therefore it is logical to have the article's name as it is. – robertsky (talk) 07:00, 27 May 2023 (UTC)
- Cabinet of Israel → Government of Israel (currently a redirect back to Cabinet of Israel) (move · discuss) – The name of the article should be the government of Israel, there is different between Cabinet and Government, and this article is about gov because it's content is, and because it's links and because there is no correct general Cabinet in Israel Bmt3s (talk) 17:54, 26 May 2023 (UTC)
- From what I can see, government of Israel is the cabinet + the Knesset (parliament). So it doesn't seem to make sense to do this, rather than for example redirect Government of Israel to Israeli system of government or an article about the current (whole) government.
