Sukchain Singh (born 15 November 1996 in Raike Kalan, Punjab, India) is an Indian archer. He is conferred with Individual Silver in the Highest Achievement in National Games of India in 2021, by the Government of India, for his contribution to Sports. Earlier, in 2022, he won the 1st Senior National Ranking Archery tournament (NRAT) Hyderabad. He is Serving in the Indian Army Since 2014.

Career

Sukhchain joined academy of Archery at Punjabi University Patiala in 2010. He got his debut one Silver and two bronze at school level medal in December 2012 at the age of 16 years when he played at Kolkata National Games of India.

Sukhchain Singh won their second medal as a silver medal in Sub Junior National Games in archery on March 2013 at Rohtak Haryana.

He joined Indian Army in September 2014. The mode of enrollment was as a sports person. He got the Rank of Havildar. He played after joining Indian Army with the Junior team and got his debut Team Silver medal in February 2016 at Jr National Championship Jamshedpur Jharkhand.

In April 2018, he played again as a Indian Army Player and got his Individual bronze medal in the 38th Sr National Championship at Pune Maharastra. In 2019, he got the team Silver medal.

In 2021, he got an individual silver medal in the 40th Sr National Championship Jamshedpur Jharkhand.

In January 2022, he got the first position in the 1st Senior National Ranking Archery tournament (NRAT) held at Hyderabad and in Oct 2022, he got the first position in the 4th Senior National Ranking Archery tournament (NRAT) held at Hoshangabad Madhya Pradesh.


International Tournaments

Sukhchain did his first International debut on April 2018, representing India Team in the event of World Cup Stage 1, at Shanghai China.

In May 2018, He participated in World Cup Stage 2, held at Antalya Turkey. In July 2018, He represented Indian Team in World Cup Stage 4 at Berlin.

In 2018 he participated in 2018 Asian Games and represent India in these games.

In May 2019, He participated in event of World Cup Stage 1, at Shanghai China.

In Octber 2019, He participated in 7th CISM World Military Games Event, held at Wuhan, China

In November 2021, He participated in Asian Archery Championships Dhaka, Bangladesh.
