Mercury[1] (promoted as Modern Visual Basic)[1][2] is a programming language developed by RemObjects Software. RemObjects extends VB.Net underlying language and plans to add more features to it.[3]

Mercury is a commercial product and offers full integration into Microsoft's Visual Studio IDE on Windows, as well as RemObjects Elements IDE called Water on Windows or Fire on macOS. Mercury is the sixth language supported by the underlying Elements Compiler toolchain, next to C#, Swift, Java, Go and Oxygene.
