SensUs is the annual international student competition founded in 2016[1] on molecular biosensors for health. [link2019] Student teams build biosensing systems and demonstrate their prototypes and business models during a public contest event at Eindhoven University of Technology. [link2019, link2022ED]. The competition and the contest event are organized by students [link 2016].
Each year SensUs addresses a different healthcare theme and a corresponding biomarker. [link 2016] In 2016, the theme was kidney failure and the biomarker was creatinine [link2016]. In 2019 the theme was rheumatoid arthritis and the biomarker was adalimumab [link]. In 2021 the theme was influenza and the biomarker was hemagglutinin. [linkAD2021] In 2022 the theme was sepsis and the biomarker was interleukin 6. [link2022ED]
