This is an old revision of this page, as edited by GhostInTheMachine (talk | contribs) at 18:59, 7 January 2023 (Usage: add info re replacing "article" and there is no TL tag). The present address (URL) is a permanent link to this revision, which may differ significantly from the current revision.

Usage

  • This cleanup template can be used to tag pages that use HTML markup that can be replaced with wiki markup.
  • {{Cleanup HTML}} puts articles into Category:Articles with HTML markup and Category:Articles covered by WikiProject Wikify
  • An unnamed parameter will replace the word "article" in the alert box message — {{Cleanup HTML|section}} changes the message to start "This section uses HTML markup".
  • When adding to a page, it is helpful to other editors to specify which tags are unwanted, like this: {{cleanup HTML|tags=table, tr, td}} — These tags will be displayed in the alert box.
For a list of which tags are unwanted and instructions on how to perform cleanup, see Category:Articles with HTML markup.
  • If a date parameter is provided such as {{Cleanup HTML|date=July 2025}} then the page is put into a by-month category instead. If the date is left out, a bot will add it later.
  • This template is a self reference.
